Two month checkup
Camille went to see Dr. Thompson today for her two month checkup.
Here are the official stats:
Height: 24 inches (90%)
Weight: 12 pounds, 2 ounces (90%)
By comparison, here are Easton's at the same age:
Height: 22.5 inches (25%)
Weight: 12 pounds, 13.5 ounces (75%)
She weighs less, but is in a higher percentile because she is a girl. I was hoping he would give us a miracle "no spit up" pill, but he said we would just have to deal with it for now. Basically she is overeating. Let's say she eats 6 oz but her tummy will only digest 4 of those six before the next feeding. So the next time we will put 6 more ounces on top of the two that are already in there. Now her tummy will digest 4 more and she is left with 4 ounces of old milk and a whole new batch of fresh milk. By the time we get to mid afternoon this is why her tummy is hurting her and she is spitting up nasty smelly milk. He said to cut back her feedings and see if that helps.
He said she is growing and is plenty healthy so it won't slow her down at all. She starts bottles with Ms. Amy next week so that will help us to know exactly how much she's eating.
Oh yes, the shots. There were five of them. She screamed so hard her face turned purple and she passed out from crying before I even got her back in the carseat to go home. She even made big tears. I hate it when they make big tears.
