That drawer

One of my co-workers and good friends is getting married May 27th. Tonight, I was invited to her lingerie shower. A friend of mine talks about "that drawer" that we women all have. This summer we will have been married 7 years. Seven years doesn't seem like that long, but attending this shower brought back memories that seem ancient. I seem to be in the baby shower era of life rather than weddings. I think Kerri's was the last bridal shower that I attended. Most of the attendees for this shower were friends of hers from the singles class at her church. Even though most of the ladies were in my age bracket, they were either still single or a newly, newlywed. It was fun watching her open all of the lacey pretties and hearing the talk that accompanied each new item. I kept thinking to myself, "They have no idea." And they don't. And neither did I. But seven years later.....I like this side of marriage much better.
