Six Month Check-up
Camille's stats:
Height - 27 1/4 inches (90%)
Weight - 16 pounds, 10.5 ounces (75%)
Head - 17 inches (75%)
Easton's by comparison:
Height - 26 inches (25%)
Weight - 18 pounds, 6.5 ounces (75%)
Head - 17 inches (25%)
So it seems that Camille is taller and thinner than her brother was at this stage. If I were to make an early prediction I would say that they will even out in their teenage years. Easton will be a 5'10ish male and Camille will be a 5'8ish female.
Dr. Thompson said Camille looks great. She is getting a little tooth bud on her lower left gum, so we may have pictures of a first tooth any time now. He is referring us to an orthopedic specialist to have her leg looked at. If you look at her, her left foot faces straight as normal but her right foot faces out like a ballet position. He looked at her hips and thighs and discovered that the deviation begins slightly above the knee. He was not able to manually turn her foot straight without moving her hip. I will guess that the first step will be some sort of mild physical therapy until she begins walking and then we'll see how much the foot corrects itself and what will be needed to "help" it along.
Easton is still doing well with the potty. He has ventured out and used several other potties other than our home. He has had to poop for two days now and is not letting it go. I'm afraid he's going to hurt himself. At this point I'm hoping he'll just do it in the diaper at naptime so he can get some relief.
