Date Night, the sequel
Look at us! Two dates in two months! I think that's more dates than we had in all of 2005. Now that we know Big Katie can handle the boy and the girl, we may have to make a habit of this.
Our evening was simple yet wonderful. We had dinner with friends (Sarah's mommy and daddy) and talked and laughed and ate. Those are the best kinds of nights.
I learned something about myself last night - I have two new loves in my life.
Fried biscuits and GPS.
First, the fried biscuits. We ate at Huber's in Indiana. OH MY GOODNESS the food was fabulous. Everything is homemade and homegrown. If you come to visit us we will surely take you there. I ate the most wonderful catfish. Better than the Catfish House (and that's saying something) Sorry, back to the biscuits. Who knew you could fry a biscuit? And if you did know - why haven't you told me about them? 32 years without this treat. Shameful. But I found today that they have the recipe posted on their website for all to see. This will be my new culinary goal - to make a fried biscuit. Lori?? You are the biscuit queen. I may need backup.
And then - GPS. Sarah's daddy has one of those GPS thingies in his car. I need this. I always thought they were just like a litte mapquest inside your dashboard. No, no, no. The satellite thing finds you and tells you were to go. I get lost at least once a day. GPS is my new friend.
