New Year's Eve

You know you're getting old when you stay at home on New Year's Eve and have a great time. We started celebrating right after church by ordering Chinese take-out. This became our lunch, snack and dinner for the day. We even splurged and got an entire order of crab rangoon. While the kids were in the bath Spencer went out and got a movie and tiramasu from Bucca. The kids went to bed (after a slight potty incident - will have to explain later - I'm starting to wonder if the boy will ever get the hang of this) and we settled in downstairs on the big comfy couch. We started to put in the movie and noticed that Audra McDonald was on Live from Lincoln Center. Yep, we're geeks - but she is really amazing to watch. We've decided that although she has a fabulous voice we would probably not enjoy her on CD. It's her facial expressions and "performance" that makes her so great. So we postphoned the movie for about an hour while watching Audra. Then we started the movie and opened the tiramasu. What more do you need? We went to bed at exactly 12:00.
