Countdown to Festival

My kids go to Festival in one month!!! That's 16 rehearsals away. Wow.

Listen to the recording I made of them last Friday. We have some work to do in the next 16 rehearsals, but I think they're going to play very well! First you'll hear Bunker Hill March, then Kronos. For reference, this is the original Kronos with correct instrumentation.

Our instrumentation is as follows:
3 Flutes
4 Clarinets
1 Saxophone
1 Bass Clarinet
1 Baritone
7 Percussion

Yep, that's one lonely brass person. No trumpets. No horns. No trombones. I do a lot of part re-writing. I hate recording because I can hear every little flaw. Every squeak, every missed entrance, every missed cut off. The sound from my memory is much better. Unfortunately the judges will not hear the pretty sounds in my head but rather the flawed version. So this will end up helping us all in the end.
