Construction Day 8

Spencer and I have spent the past several days painting the bathroom. It's a small room so you wouldn't think that it would take so long. However....one must factor in kid time. Those with children can only accomplish things during sleeping hours. Nap time and Bed time. Working only during that window of time it took us a full 3 days to paint. It might have gone a tad faster if we didn't have to wait for the paint to dry before applying a second coat, but we got it done.

Here are our new green walls:

The worker men are fast! I came home for lunch and the shower was about 65% tiled! It looks wonderful. The grout will go on Wednesday along with the floor tile. They'll be back Thursday and probably one more day next week. But at this point I don't mind waiting. Finally, we're at the "pretty" part. This is the part of the process where things start to come together and look nice. Much easier to deal with than drywall dust and yucky things. Ooh! And check out my new little bench in the corner. It will get tile on Wednesday.

Jenny I love it! This has really come together! I have never seen a corner bench like that. We definitely need one of those in our stand up shower.

So, does this bathroom have a shower curtain?!?!? :-)

And cover up my pretty new tile? No way! :) We have a glass shower door that will go in after the grout has been finished and set.

Everything is looking wonderful. There is nothing better than a beautiful bathroom! Love the color you chose. What was it called?

Officially it's called 'Wilderness Trail'. We kept calling it 'pea soup' while rolling it on the walls! We weren't sure that it was going to look good, but as soon as the tile went up it magically made the walls look completely different. We really like it now. Our bedroom is painted a light sage-y green so it blends nicely.
