C is for Camille and C is for Corn

The evenings here have been beautiful the past week or so. We've tried to make the most of it and eat dinner outside on the deck. Tonight we grilled out and had fish, corn on the cob and zucchini. (I know gross, but really it's very tasty grilled)

Before CPS comes to get me, let me clear up a few things:
1.) We don't put Camille in a booster chair outside because the chairs are wobbly and quite frankly, she doesn't WANT to be in a booster. Even though the table comes up to her nose, she likes it that way and always manages to eat.
2.) I, very lovingly, cut the corn off the cob for Easton to eat. The corn was fresh (still in husk) and was a little firm even after cooking. I thought it might be a little too hard for Camille and did not put any on her plate.

Well if you know my child then you'll know that it was a big mistake for everyone else to have a food that she did NOT have. Only minutes into the meal she had maneuvered herself over to my plate and taken my corn hostage. I thought, "Sure - let her drool on it - I can do without it" But no. Somehow she and the corn bonded. For the next 20 minutes the corn was her best friend. Even after we had finished dinner and taken the plates inside, she held onto the corn and carried it around with her a little longer.

I'll admit this last shot is staged, but Nana and Papa will understand why. I couldn't resist.

HOLY JAMOLEE! These pictures have to be some of the cutest I've seen of little Camille! Sounds like to me, reverse psychology worked! (Not that you were even trying!) Very, VERY cute!

"Like Mother, Like Daughter", I do vaguely remember a similiar picture of many years ago. I wonder what ever happened to that picture. I need to find our family picture box and begin digitizing them.
