I am tired
I think I'm tired. I hope it's that and not that I'm lazy. Recently I read this on a woman's blog:
So far today I have done 5 loads of laundry, changed 4 poopy diapers and about 12 wet diapers, changed two babies outfits 7 times in total (puking), vacuumed, cleaned two bathrooms, emptied garbage cans, filled two vitamin/pill cases for the week, fed 10 bottles, burped 20 times, put away 5 loads of laundry, played with babies and children, had family over for dinner, helped hubby work through some work stress, shopped for needed baby items, clipped coupons, etc., etc., etc.
Granted, this woman has infant twins and two older children in school. And she is at home all day. I work half time and am at home half time and have half as many children as she does. With this formula you would think that I could get at least half that much work done. Uh uh. Not even close. This bothered me for several days as I thought about how lazy I was and how I needed to re-vamp my afternoons at home. But this past Tuesday we were out of school due to the elections. You know what? I got A LOT done. MUCH more than a normal day. And my extra time at home was not increased by all that much. Normally I'm at home by noon. What gives? My guess is about 2.5 hours of extra sleep I got that morning. So that is my new theory. I'm just tired. Yes, this is what I'm going to tell myself.
