Take that, Glucose!!
So it seems I'm normal after all. (okay fine, get all of your jokes out now). My 3 hour test came back within a normal range. Of course it's always suggested that I watch my carb/sugar intake - eat lots of veggies and lean protiens. Whatever. Just as long as I can have my bread. I think I love bread more than I love dessert. And that's saying something.
On a different note - there is a strong possibility that we'll get an actual snow day tomorrow! In my 4 years at JCPS I think they've only had one. There have been several 2-hour delays, but I can only remember once that they shut down the whole day. This is the forecast online from our local news station:
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories will be going into effect late this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. A large storm system spreads into the area by late this afternoon. It looks like pockets of heavy snow showers to begin with. In fact, we could see as much as 4 inches near the metro to 8 inches in parts of southern Indiana. The big problems begin as some warmer air moves back in during the overnight. That warmer air changes some of the snow to some sleet and freezing rain. Driving in snow is tricky enough but it gets much worse if you add some ice on top. The warnings and advisories continue through Tuesday morning.
Looks promising, right??

YEA! I'm glad this glucose test came back perfect! Bring on the bread :-) Speaking of which, what's your all time FAVORITE kind of bread?
We'll do the snow dance for you tonight!!! COME ON SNOW DAY! Don't forget to check the forecast before you get ready this time :-)
All-time favorite? I'd have to say a homemade biscuit. I love them with butter, with jam, with syrup, with cheese, with garlic...whatever. You can't mess up a good biscuit. And then I love Granny's yeast rolls. And bagels from Panera. Especially the asiago cheese with plain cream cheese. And those pretzels from Auntie Anne's. And yummy goodness from Cinnabon. And rolls from O'Charley's dipped in potato soup. And breadsticks from the Olive Garden. And I even love plain old sandwich bread with a little butter. It's sad, really.
Let's see, you are 33 yrs old. Yep, I remember that was about the time my metabolism started slowing down. That was about the time all those Granny biscuits and yeast rolls started started turning into excess baggage. So enjoy them while you can.
lcr :)
I am glad yours is normal. It would be hard, very hard to be constantly watchful of the yummy bread and cookie intake.
SNOW seems like a foreign substance. Houston is in the high 70s and I feel like going to the beach some days, the sun is so bright and the weather so nice. Never count on a snow day here. . .
