JWFF

Easton and Camille are spending a few days with Spencer's parents in Cincinnati this week. Since we are down to one child (and that one is not mobile) I declared this week to be JWFF - Jenny's Week of Fun and Frolic. To kick off JWFF we had a craft party at my house last night. There were scrapbookers, stampers, sewers, knitters, crocheters and magazine flippers all existing peacably around my kitchen table. A lesson could really be learned from this scenario. Diversity is not an issue when homemade chocolate chip cookies and tirmasu from Bucca are involved.

I started on Claire's baby quilt. Which puts me waaaay ahead since I completed Easton's quilt when he was 18 months old and completed Camille's quilt....well......this Spring. Last night I got the material cut, arranged and pieced together. (by the way - this is the first time I've ever pieced together a quilt. normally I just buy two fabrics to use for the front and back and quilt the design) This morning I aligned, sandwiched and pinned the layers together. Now I just have to quilt it and bind it. And Candy talked me into the "stitch in the ditch" method so that will take zero planning.

Since Camille's quilt is pink, green and white - I wanted Claire's colors to be different but still girly. So we went with yellow, cream and pink. This may cause a problem since Camille's favorite color is LELLOW, but it should be okay. I think I can distract her with the pretty beads from her new purse.
