Time to move the mattress

Camille was upstairs having a snack and Claire was downstairs in her "room" taking a nap in the pack-n-play. I heard Claire wake up and start her usual chatterings. I finished pouring Camille's drink and heard that Claire was no longer happy about having to wait on her mother so she began to cry and protest loudly. I went downstairs to get her.

She was not in her pack-n-play.


She was in the floor.


Although she is not able to sit up on her own, she is somehow able to hoist herself over the railing and into the floor. Great.

No bruises, no scratches, no harm of any kind. She stopped crying as soon as I picked her up and is happy as a clam now. But I'm thinking it's time to move that pack-n-play mattress down to the floor level.
