Kitchen facelift
The kids and I went to Nashville this past weekend to visit Nana and Papa but to also clear the house so Spencer could do a litte remodeling in the kitchen. A while back we replaced the countertops so now it was time to paint the strangely colored cabinets. It was like someone had taken a cream base and put a few drops of red/orange in it. So the cabinets were this peachy, pinkish, tan color. Not offensive, but worthy of change. And the hardware needed some help too. The mere fact that they had a 3.5 inch spread (which NO one sells in the stores now - can only be special ordered in rare places) proves that they had been on there a looooong time. So for a few cans of paint and new hardware, we have a new and polished look. Phase II will be adding a back splash and trim. Our goal is to have that completed before Easter....we'll see.
Old hardware Weird paint and ugly scallop over sink
New white paint!
New drawer pulls (in "oil rubbed bronze" - very fancy)
New cabinet handles (also "oil rubbed bronze")
