Hey Grandpa, What's for supper?
10 brownie points to the first person to identify the title...
I love preparing dinner. I like cooking, but I LOVE the few minutes of isolation that I get in the kitchen each evening. Sometimes I have helpers. Sadly, I could have many helping hands, but that isolation thing is hard to beat! And this is also the time that Daddy usually takes them outside (or downstairs) and runs them ragged - they usually don't want to miss out on that.
BUT...
Sometimes I have helpers. Easton used to help a lot and now he is totally disinterested. He wants to be wherever the Daddy is. Camille has become my 'go to' kitchen girl. We both get on our aprons and get to work. My sister had her girls sitting on the counter while she made biscuits before they could walk and cracking eggs shortly after that. I'm not quite that progressive. Camille is great at adding things to bowls, stirring, placing things on cookie sheets, etc. Recently Claire has decided that she must do whatever Camille is doing. If Camille is on a stool helping Mommy then Claire is trying to push her off that stool, so she can stand on the stool and help Mommy. Finally I figured out the perfect entry level position for Claire. She's the stove watcher. I say, "Claire - go look at the oven and tell Mommy if the food is brown on top." And she does. And most times she comes back with a report in her own jibberish.

I KNOW...! It is from Hee Haw! Yes, I too watched this show on Sunday evening! Wouldn't miss it! :o) So, how am I going to use my 10 points...? Hmmmmm...?
I love all my grandkids the same, but I must confess, Claire is going through a really cute (loveable) stage right now.
