Need ideas
Several weeks ago I met with my inner Martha Stewart and decided that I would make Christmas gifts this year. We always need small gifts for teachers and friends and I've seen numerous tutorials on how to make little drawstring bags so I thought I had found the perfect project. My original intent was to make the bags and then have the recipient's first initial monogrammed on the side. There were some hiccups in this plan as the monogramming machine did not make letters as big as the the bag needed. So...I thought about embroidering the initial on there myself. A couch craft! Hooray! I did one and quickly rejected the idea. It was fine - but all of a sudden had a very 1980's country craft homemade look to it. Finally I decided to leave the bags plain. But now they're...plain. I need something to go inside. But what? Officially I'm calling them "ditty bags" (because if Vera Bradley can do it, so can I!) I need some ditties!
So THIS
was turned into THIS
They are all a tad different in sizing and length of ruffle. And some have rounded bottoms and some do not - but overall they're about 11" tall and 9" wide. But what can I put inside?
