Back to School
Today was the first day for all of the kids to be in school! Easton has been back for a few weeks now, but the girls went back to Rainbow School today. Camille will go 5 days a week (9-12) and Claire will go 2 days a week (9-12). And that makes 6 hours per week of Mommy time :-) I have a list a mile long of things to do but putting pictures on the blog was one of them, so here you go!
We saw a beautiful sunrise this morning while waiting for Easton's bus. I discovered it's very difficult to photograph a sunrise. The first attempt with no flash didn't show all the pretty colors.
But when I set the fancy camera to "nightframing" and then it automatically used a flash I got a better picture.
Still not the greatest, but I until I learn what all of those M, A, S, settings mean, it'll have to do.
Easton is way too big to pose for his mother so I was sneaky and got a quick shot anyway.
Next - the girls were ready to go.
Camille is very excited that she has a new backpack this year (and VERY excited that it has a pink stripe!). Since Claire was starting Rainbow School the toddler sized blue backpack was passed on. This little backpack is on it's 6th year at Rainbow. I intitially bought it for Easton and then added the flowers for Camille and now it's Claire's.

Awww, Jen! I LOVE THIS POST! Can't believe how grown up they all are! So many neat things....the passing of the backpack...the school bus.....YOU GETTING 6 HOURS OF ME TIME IN A WEEK! ALL of these are fantastic! Thanks for the sunset, too! Don't you LOVE fancy cameras?!?
"M" stands for Manual
"A" stands for Apeture priority
"S" stands for Shutter priority.
Put your camera on a tripod and open up the apeture and play around wih the shutter speed until you get the shot you want.
It is sometimes fun to take a shot where the sky is in focus and without moving your camera take another shot where the foreground is in focus. In Photoshop you can combine the two for a stunning picture.
"I Know" that is probably too much information. Just keep it on auto and shoot lots of pictures.
Lennie, you crack me up! Any comments about the grandchildren?
:-)
However, I'm TOTALLY stealing your camera advice and trying it on my own! :-)
