PINK!

Camille's birthday is tomorrow and my sewing/baking efforts have been taken over by various pink projects. It's a safe bet that I will either a) forget to take pictures tomorrow, or b) only take 2 pictures of nothing important...so I'll try to give you a sneak peak.

First, Camille gets a shirt to let all the world know that a fuss should be made over her :-)
And let's just pretend that looks like a cupcake, okay?

Thanks to my wonderful friend, I had 5 miles of tulle donated to Camille's party. She said I could do whatever I wanted with it. So I chopped it into a bunch of small strips and tied them around an elastic waistband and ended up with these little fairy skirts. (tutorial here)

There was so much tulle (literally miles of it) that I made 7 total and still have some left over to decorate the table.

Tomorrow morning Camille will go to school as normal and celebrate with her friends eating pink rice krispie treats with pink glitter sprinkles on top.
And later, we will go to church as usual for our Wednesday dinner, but our table will be decked out in pink things and Camille's bestest buddies will be dining with her wearing 1/2 mile of tulle each and smothered in glitter lip gloss (found them at Michael's - couldn't resist). 5 is a big birthday and I feel bad that she's not getting an all out party, but I hope she will feel special and loved and get lots of attention nonetheless.
