What a day!

What a strange day we've had. It started early, early this morning. Sometime around 4 a.m., Spencer and I were awakened by an odd noise. It sounded like a quick, dry belch. I joked that Camille was spitting up again. Although when we checked on her, she was okay. This morning I discovered the reason for the noise - her diaper had popped. It literally became so full that it exploded in the middle of the night. Wanna know what's in a diaper? Well it seems to be made up of a billion tiny beads that hold liquid. Those little beads were EVERYwhere. In her bed, in her gown, hiding in the little folds between her legs.... So, I got her cleaned up and we went on with the day.

Around lunch time the toilet overflowed. Random. There was nothing clogging it, just water running everywhere. All the way down the hallway to Easton's room for those of you that know our house. So I got that cleaned up and went on with the day.

For dinner I made chicken salads. Easton wanted nothing to do with anything except for the shredded cheese. He even turned down the grilled chicken which is odd. Before he could eat dessert (a pudding cup) I told him he had to eat some chicken and at least one carrot (one of those baby carrot sticks). I even made a game of it and ate one with him as we took turns taking bites of our carrots. He took the smallest bites possible and complained the whole time. Finally I cut the already tiny carrot into two final bites for him to eat. He ate one bite, made a face and then promptly gave me back his entire dinner in liquid form. Seconds later he assured me that his tummy felt well enough to still eat his pudding for dessert. So I got him cleaned up and went on with the day.

There are still a few hours left before I go to bed tonight. I'm scared to find out what might explode on me next.

What a glamorous life you lead!! Have you ever heard the expression, "Don't drink the water"? You might want to take this one into consideration this week. Good luck to you tomorrow :)
