Construction update

The driveway is complete. They will be back Monday morning to saw lines in the newest portion (I'm sure there is a technical name for this, but basically that's what they're doing) and then clean up around the edges. The guy told us we could drive on it Tuesday, but I'm really only concerned about Easton and his bike. That child needs some place to GO. He can pedal now and seeing him run little circles around our deck is just pitiful. I think we'll be clear for Easton and the bike by tomorrow morning. Together they weight less than 50 pounds. Surely the concrete will be okay - especially the place at the bottom that was poured on Wednesday.

The "walkway" man came by today to ask some questions. He said he would be by in the morning to get started. The plans call for a new walkway made out of Tennessee Bluestone Pavers. This material was also to be used to cover the porch but it seems that they are having a hard time finding it. (We didn't request it - the lady that drew our plans put in on there and we thought it looked nice so we went with it) The guy said he would bring by some samples of other materials for us to look at in the morning. I think we'll go with whatever is in stock and looks nice. We're just ready to have our yard back.

The fence guy comes back Monday to finish up. Oh, wait. His name is Kevin. Some of these people really do have names. Tim is the guy in charge of all of the shrubs and plants. He's about 6'6" and wore a yellow shirt the first time we met him. Easton said, "Mommy, Look! It's Greg!" (The Yellow Wiggle for those of you without a toddler in the house)
