Project Potty - Day 3 Evening Report

I'm sure I will be punished for celebrating too early, but the early poll results show that we could have a potty trained Easton in the house. He stayed dry all day. The bites of ice cream turned into a single M&M after nap and he is on the potty every 30 min trying to get another one. 90% of the time he would succeed. The other 10% he would tell me that he was "empty" and ask to drink some more juice. Now he has figured out that the juice makes him pee and the pee gets him an M&M. I'm okay with that. A few days of juice and chocolate never killed anyone, right? We even got a bonus tonight after dinner. (The following information is slightly graphic, beware) When he goes potty I always check to see if his unders are dry. They were, but there was the tiniest bit of poo on them. When I looked, the poop was already half way out . We were already in the bathroom so I played it off like it was no big deal and he sat on the potty for his first poop. He even thought it was funny that it went 'splash' in the water. I don't think the second poop will be so easy, but I'm grateful there was no crying and screaming for the first attempt.

So - there you have it. Our first twelve months and three days of potty training. There really are other things happening around here besides Easton and the potty, but not much.
