Tomorrow
Thank goodness we took this picture, because without it, I would have no hope at all. This is the first day that we brought home the potty from the store. Easton sat down and went pee-pee on his first try. That was June 4, 2005. Since that date, he has not gone pee-pee in the potty. For the longest time, he wouldn't even sit on the potty without a tantrum. Now he will sit, sing, talk, read a book, whatever.....but no pee. We've tried every bribe that we can think of. Stickers, M&M's, granola bars, etc. Someone suggested that we let him pick out a toy from the store and hold that toy while on the potty and he gets to open it when he uses the potty. Spencer took him to the store and he picked out "Alfie" from the Thomas the Train toys. Alfie is a scoop truck. Easton has been very interested in scoop trucks since the yard work started in a few months ago. Alfie is still in his package sitting on the sink beside the potty. Once I asked, "Don't you want to play with Alfie?" He said, "No, Mommy, I not pee-pee in the potty yet." We've taken away the little potty and gone to the small seat on the big potty. Nothing seems to be working for us. But that's all about to change tomorrow. Tomorrow we will try the ultimate tactic......Take away the diapers. We are all underwear, all the time, starting tomorrow. He may go through 10 pairs of underwear before lunch, but I'm ready. I will not give up. I may cry, but I won't give up.
