Date Night

Spencer and I had a spur of the moment "date night" last night. We don't do date nights as often as we should. But we were sitting around yesterday afternoon and talking about what we would do after the kids woke up from nap. He said, "Let's go out." And it sounded perfect. So we went. I even wore the slinky dress just for fun. I bought this dress for vacation and never wore it. We had plans for going out on my birthday and wearing the dress but things just got too hectic. So darn it - I was going to wear this dress SOMEwhere. Our sitter (Big Katie, not because she's big, but because we have to differentiate between her and cousin Katie) took the pictures for us. It's not the greatest shot - We were honestly much cuter in person. Maybe it's the kitchen lighting or that she's shorter than us and the angle is weird? Candy? Your turn? Is there a name for this?
Anyway, we had great Italian food and ate way too much. I even had tiramisu for dessert. It was good, but it was not Buca. After dinner we hit Barnes and Noble and just walked around. Spencer got a new CSLewis book and I got two fun fiction paperbacks.
I like date nights.

I think date night is GREAT! I also think you guys look FAB! Barnes and Noble without kids?!? Ahhh....what a wonderful idea. Glad to see you guys had a fun night.

So what I think I hear you saying is that you prefer date night with your (cute as he can be) husband over date night with your (way too much fun) girl band girls. Whatever!

(And what you hear me saying is I am totally jealous that you ate Italian food AND went to B&N with NO CHILDREN!! Good Job!)
