Masterbath remodel
The worker men (also known as Mark and Matt) will be here Wednesday to start demolition on the master bath. They have scheduled three weeks for construction. Home improvement, however, is their second job. They both work at the J-town fire department on a 24/48 schedule. Their days "off" are spend in the home improvement business. And they (rightfully so) reserve weekends for spending time with family. So three weeks really only adds up to 7 working days. Can you remodel an entire bathroom in 7 days? I'm doubtful, but we'll see.
Here are the before pictures.
Sink/Vanity area. The wall between the vanity and toliet will be removed to accomodate newer, prettier sink/vanity.
Shower/toliet area. New oblong toliet going here.
Shower wall will be taken out and extended to the left all the way to door. Shower will grow from 34" to 48". This doorway, currently leading to kitchen, will be turned into a double storage area. From the kitchen will become a food pantry and from the bath will become a linen closet.
This picture is taken from the kitchen doorway. The full length mirror will be relocated (not sure where yet) and this small wall behind the door will be used for one of those inset ironing board things. It'll look like a tall medicine cabinet. When opened, the ironing board folds out like a Murphy bed. I may actually start ironing!
