Random News **UPDATED**

Contest of Champions

We went home again this weekend for COC. You know you're a band geek when watching marching bands 14 hours straight is considered fun. Spencer and I treat this like a "get-a-way" - which it is - but we spend the entire Saturday separated. You see, he's very fancy and is the Master of Ceremonies for the day. Because we're married, I'm cool enough to get a press box pass. So I spend most of the day looking at him through the glass as he sits in his special room. If we were 16 then we could text back and forth, but it just takes too much effort push all of those buttons.

Halloween

While we were at COC, Easton and Camille were busy hanging out with Nana and Papa at the church Halloween party. I'm too lazy to scan the pictures Papa gave me, but you can go here to see my cute children and niece Kendall.

Baby Update

I have an appointment later this afternoon and I'm taking both kids with me. This will be one of those non-invasive appts where they ask me how I'm doing and do a quick doppler to get a heartbeat. I think if I stock the kids with goldfish then all should run smoothly. Let's just hope it's not like the time I went to Kroger and the big yellow cart only had one steering wheel. It wasn't pretty.

House Update

Nothing to report so far. We've had one showing in 2 weeks - I guess that's normal for this time of year. But we were also told that we would get the most activity during the first 1-2 weeks it was on the market. If I was looking for a "sign" as to whether we needed to sell or stay...this might be it.

Bellsouth

I'm not happy with them right now. Long story short - they told me (several times) that I could add a certain feature to my phone plan and there would be no additional cost. I got the bill today. There is an additional cost. I should have known better. Now I have to call and yell at them. And I stink at doing that.

I called the Bellsouth people and the lady I spoke with was very nice. She immediately took off all the charges and didn't give me one bit of hassle.

The doctor's visit was fabulous. Well the visit was uneventful - I was there a total of 38 seconds. Long enough for her to ask if I felt okay (yes) and find the heartbeat (nice and strong) and tell me to come back in 4 weeks. Why are these appts necessary? But my children were like little angels. Just sat there as sweet as could be and didn't make a chirp in the waiting room or anything. I'd like to take credit for good parenting, but I think the promise of goldfish kept them straight.

I am so glad you told me about the blog! It will be great to be able to keep up with the Barhams now.

It was great to see you on Saturday.

WOW! If fish crackers will do this for your kids, what would an entire bag of M&M's do???

:-)

Glad the appt. went well! Countdown until the "big" appt, eh?

Glad all is well with all the Barham children. Short visits are good; long visits bad. Necessary visits to be sure there does not need for there to be a long visit.

Unrelated comment: Amazing how your children look just like you! Camille looks just like you Jenny, and Shannon's baby girl looks exactly like her.
