Cookie Countdown 2008

Our Girl Scout tradition is simple. We each get one box of our favorite and then wait until next year until the goodness returns. I get Samoas, Spencer gets ThinMints. I eat mine right away, Spencer likes to savor his yummies. (You may remember the 2007 debacle). I am baffled by this "savoring" technique but I've made a resolve to let him have his fun. Warning to my husband - this resolve is only good for Girl Scout cookies. If you leave something else yummy laying around for too long then all bets are off.

Cookies were purchased outside Kroger on Monday evening.
Both boxes of cookies were opened Monday after dinner.
Samoas are long gone.
ThinMints still holding strong.

I'm calling for ThinMint depletion sometime around April 05. (Even though I'm tampering with the variables because my husband reads this blog and now knows that his ThinMint consumption is being monitored)

Any gamblers out there? Want to sharpen your skills for derby? When on when will the ThinMint box join it's Samoa counterpart?

love you honey :)

i'm voting... may 15. i think he'll whittle it down to 5 or 6 and then the baby will come and he'll forget all about the thin mints. and then, on may 15, he'll remember.
