Saturday Snow Day

A good friend from TN called last night and asked, "So what does 12" of snow actually look like?" At that point we were only at 6 or 7 inches. Today I can answer that question. Here you go Lewis.
This is on our back deck. You can see to the left where the snow has drifted against the railing. It's probaby close to 24" at that point. The blue speck is the top of a ruler.

And here's the ruler up close.

And a shot from our back door.

And our swingset. Look at the snow piled up in Camille's baby swing.

From our front door.

This is not a mistake. This is me standing by our front door taking a picture of where our porch should be. Notice that the snow is up so high that you can't even tell where the steps are. It's all one solid surface.

And what do you cook when you have that much snow outside? Chili of course, but I didn't have enough beans for chili. But I did have a pork roast so I'm trying to make my own BBQ pulled pork. Seems easy enough. Let pork hang out in crock pot all day until tender and then pull with forks and add BBQ seasonings. Return to crock pot for a few more hours. We'll see if it works or not.

Here is Camille helping me make coleslaw. She's wearing one of the aprons I made for the craft show. I made a serious mistake with the waistband so I don't think it's worth asking money for. And Camille found it herself in my sewing basket and has claimed it as her own - so I don't think I could take it away from her.

More stirring.And more stirring.

haha, Scraffy was posting pictures of the kids outside, so I wished the snow upon you all :)

I hope you guys have fun sledding or playing in it :)

And the apron is too adorable!
If you find a good pattern for a sock monkey let me know, as I would love to make one!

OH! And I was window shopping online at a store and the whole time I was thinking "This store is SOOO Jenny!" It is anthropologie.com...go to the home section--they even have adorable aprons like yours!
