Much Ado about little things

Palm Sunday

When we began attending this church 5 years ago I was still pregnant with Easton. As I watched the rituals of baby dedications and children's choirs and other things, I always imagined what it would be like to see my child as part of those activities. On Palm Sunday all of the children ages 4 and up get a palm and parade around the church while the choir sings it's opening song. It's funny to watch the various ages. The smallest kids are usually shy. The young grade schoolers do it "right" while the older kids are plainly too cool to be waving palms in church and let you know so by their half rolled eyes. This year Easton was a palm waver. Shy at first - very little movement - until he came down the aisle and could see mom, dad and orchestra friends sitting in the front of the church. Then there was running and flapping and giggling and maybe a little hip wiggle for good measure. And then the line went around the corner and he went back into his reserved walk. I really should bring my camera for things like this...

Doctor News

I saw the doctor last Monday and will go again next Monday and every Monday after that. There is some action but nothing to get excited about. I don't want to be grumpy but I promise my body is falling apart. That Dugger woman who has had 16 children is a fraud. There's no way.

Craftiness strikes again

My crafty friend Candy got a whim to re-create a sweet little crocheted hem that we saw on some old baby dresses at Big Granny's house. This "whim" turned itself into a full blown dress and matching bunny for the girl. Take a look here.

Easter Dinner

I'm making Easter dinner this year for ourselves and some friends. I'm really excited about this. I love big Sunday afternoon meals. I'm still bitter that our church doesn't have a country ham breakfast, but I'm seriously going to have to bring it up at the next business meeting. Mom - I'm going to try the yeast rolls. Even though I've never done one thing right with yeast, I think I can do it. Be prepared for a phone call. Or two. Or twelve.

Concert Festival

Next Friday - March 28. I hope my kids play well. I hope I taught them to play well. I hate these dog and pony shows.

Palm Sunday- I LOVE this stage that Easton's in. I fear the eye-rolling stage worse than anything.

Dr. News- This is one of the few times I can say that I am truly happy I have had 2 c-sections and going for my 3rd. I agree with you......I think that Dugger lady is a fraud...or has had reconstructive surgery.

Crafty friend- Holy cow that dress is cute! so is the bunny, but she made an entire dress to match the crocheted hem?!? Wow. THAT is impressive!

Easter Dinner
I want to know how these yeast rolls turn out :-) Good luck and enjoy your big dinner festivities.

Concert Festival
Good luck, here too. I hope the kids play well. I'm sure you have taught them everything they need to know........now it's in their lap (easier said than done, I know).
