Hodgepodge
This is one of those updates that is just a little bit on a lot of happenings.
Camille brought home a stomach bug from pre-school a few weeks ago. We all passed it around and finally got rid of it. But since then Camille has had a strange side affect - it seems that her poop has turned white. Not pure white, but a clay, putty, white color. I ignored it for the first week and then called the pediatrician. He said wait another week and then call back if it didn't change. It didn't change so I called Monday and got an appt for tomorrow. And sure enough she pooped tonight and it was a nice dark brown. (ew, yuck, sorry)
And lucky I made that appointment because it looks like I'll need to use it after all. Easton woke up this morning and said his ear hurt. On the inside. And his voice sounds funny when he talks.
Five brownie points to anyone who can name that ailment. I can! Easton went through a zillion ear infections when he was young so I guess it's his time again.
Spencer and I signed up yesterday to run the Triple Crown Races. That's a 5K, 10K, and 10 mile race on three different dates. We were doing really well until that stomach bug hit and then I fell off the wagon. Spencer has been keeping up with his schedule so I think he'll do well. I, however, have some work to do! But a friend let us have their treadmill so that will be a huge help. It was missing a part and we just received it in the mail today. So starting tomorrow I have no excuses.
I found a recipe for rice pudding made with coconut milk. I got the ingredients this weekend and can't wait to make it.
I'm going to be a stay at home mom next year. I should be scared, but I think I'm excited about this.
Concert Festival is one month away.
I love my band kids this year.
I've already finished my box of Samoas. Spencer's box of Thin Mints is still in the pantry. It's taking all the will power I have not to go steal a few right now. Is it too late to make that coconut pudding? I want something sweet.

Hey Jenny,
I saw this through another blog.

What do you think? Next project? I would buy one. Actually more than one.

I know it's a huge decision to stay home, but you won't regret it. And hopefully, you'll even enjoy it!
And, btw, I am resisting the thin mints in our pantry right now as well. So far, I have only eaten them in Jeff's presence (since they're "technically" his). The peanut butter patties are another story...
mmm...my samoas aren't here yet. I guess they take longer to get up here. However, I gave up sugar for lent, so no samoas for me until April 14th :(
First SAHM, pretty soon you will be making Valentine packets :)
Katie - I will settle for yeast bread maker extrodinaire. You'll help me with that, right?
Tanya - thank goodness I'm not the only one. I've never tried the peanut butter patties though - I may have to add that to my list next year.
Emily - I've seen those! Gina made one. you'll have to ask her about it when we have our next craft night.
p.s. I love you honey. All of your thin mints are intact.
ooh, actually, I have a no knead recipe that I want to give you. You let it rise for 12-18 hours, so you can mix it the night before, then set it aside. I love it because I don't need to have a day set aside where I will be in the house....plus it has an amazing crust, perfect for pastas, etc. Next time, I am going to sprinkle cheese into the bread right before I put it in the oven. Here is the recipe, and I used just a pyrex-casserole type dish with a glass cover.

Hope that works.
P.s. Now that I re-read that last remark, it sounded hateful and I really didn't mean it to be like that (hehe!) I am jealous of anyone that makes little Valentine packets :) And not all SAHM's are organized and motivated enough to do that.
