I'm the Queen!

As in Queen Bee. As in Online Quilting Bee. Whereas the other 11 months I make blocks for other people - January is my month and everyone makes blocks for me!

I sent everyone fabrics from a line called Simple Abundance. Their instructions were to improvise a block using squares and rectangles.


And just LOOK at the wonderful things my bee friends have created! And please notice that the "rules" of the bee only ask that each person make one block. And every single lady has made multiple blocks for me. So, so, cool! I divided the fabrics into color groups when I sent them out and as a result I've ended up with very beautiful, yet different blocks. If you look closely though you'll notice that they all have similar colors/patterns running through the groups. I'm going to use the blocks to make a quilt to go on our couch. I'm thinking about making one side a "cool" side and the other a "warm" side. I'll take more photos when all of the blocks are here in the flesh.
