Crafty updates
I promise - kid stories coming soon! But until then, you'll have to put up with more craft pictures.
This week I was able to finish the swirly/circle/loop-de-loopy q's on the pink and green baby quilt. Papa, Candy, please notice that I tried to get a good picture by placing the subject next to a natural light source. (and please disregard the horrible shadows cause by the window frames because, obviously, photography is not my thing)
A closer look:
And this is for ME! I like to make things, but they usually are for someone else. I started a long term bible study last week (BSF) and needed a bag for my "stuff". (these guys are serious - I have to use a 3 ring binder!) So here is the roomy interior with pencil and chapstick pocket.
And here is a flower. Because I love flowers. And I desperately wanted to use this button that was given to me by my grandmother. When I started sewing, Big Granny gave me a tin full of buttons and notions that belonged to her and Aunt Bert, Aunt Sara, etc. So I wanted to add that on somehow and I saw one like this online. It was much easier than I thought it would be, excellent for a beginner. Actually, a sewing machine is not even necessary. (possible tutorial coming soon)
