Mark 10:8

Spencer has been gone this week. Let me be the first to admit that I am a spoiled wife. Spencer's job is very flexible and while some days are longer and others are shorter, I can almost always count on him to be nearby if I need him. The house is on fire? Jenny needs a haircut? No problem. He can make a couple of phone calls, rearrange some appts and be there in a jiffy. And he almost never has to travel.

Except this week.

So - no big deal. We go on about our regular routine and Dad will be home on Friday. (Really it's late, late on Thursday night, but if we tell the kids that, they will try to stay up all night).

Monday - I am supermom. The house is clean - the kids are happy. Ha!

Tuesday - I am still supermom. But supermom is a little tired.

Wednesday - Tired supermom is thrown a challenge - how about a sick child? How about one that "christens" the recliner at the exact moment that the boy is getting off the bus and we are all supposed to be leaving for dinner at church and RA's choir rehearsal and there is no backup plan for dinner and the baby is LIVID that I am paying attention to someone other than her?

Thursday - Supermom is not super. I want my husband back. Do people really do this on their own?

Yes, you are spoiled. VERY.

But I am CRAZY happy for you that you are!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. It's a LOT, especially when things go awry like they did on Thursday! Here's hoping for after-bedtime calmness at your house!! (And a husband to cuddle with this evening :-)
