Much Ado

To begin I would like to point out the main difference between Easton and Camille. This is slightly exaggerated, but not much.

If I tell Easton to stop playing and do something, then I get 10 minutes of mouth. WHY?? I DON'T WANT TO! (eye rolling here) I NEVER GET TO PLAY! YOU ARE MEAN! But all the while he's running his mouth, he's slowly but surely doing what he's supposed to.

If I tell Camille to stop playing and do something, then I get a sweet little voice that says, "Yes Mommy". But then there's no movement. A moment passes, and I tell her again. And again, the sweet voice, "Yes, Mommy. I'm coming". And then...nothing. This goes back and forth until Mommy physically has to redirect Camille to the new task. And even then, she acts like it's the first time she's heard me say anything. "Okay Mommeee!" (said in the cutest sing song voice you can imagine)

Recap. Easton = Mouthy but obedient. Camille = Sweet as pie but completely oblivous to authority. Claire = Yet to be determined.

Last Friday was Spencer's birthday. I was very sneaky and "kidnapped" him for the entire day. It was wonderful and I have some great pictures. This gets it's own post as soon as I get the pics in the computer.

After buying the wrong interfacing and having to go through some annoying returns, I finally have all the supplies needed for the Weekender Bag. I started cutting and have already run into some problems. It's just cutting! How hard can that be? Apparently, pretty hard as I've logged 4 hours into this project and I'm still. not. done. cutting. Sounds ridiculous, but it's true. I'm hoping that when I get to the sewing part that things will move along.

Hmmm - I'm noticing my hecklers live awfully far away. Too far to throw those scissors at! ;)

Sadly, it's not the scissors. It's (A)every piece has to be cut 4 times, and (B)At each step, I sit staring at the directions for at least 20 minutes before I cut anything making sure I'm not about to make a mistake!
