We love Upward! This year Camille is a cheerleader and Easton is playing basketball. The cheerleaders rotate the teams that they cheer for, but today Camille and Easton played at the same time.
I am posting pictures to A) show off how cute and sweet my children are; and B) to prove how horrible my camera skills are and guilt my camera savvy friends (yes, you know who you are) into attending a game and getting decent pictures of my children.
Camille's Cheerleading Squad (aka, The Pretty Ponies) getting ready to go to the gym
Creating a tunnel for the basketball players to run through

Easton running through the tunnel!

Huddling up with the coaches

Group prayer before the game

Lining up...

Really cool shot if it were in focus. I had it on auto focus. I pressed halfway. Help?

Easton is in focus (kindof) but Michael is not.

Getting ready to cheer...

In focus, but now we have devil eyes

When it's not a megaphone, it can be a telescope.

Go Michael!

Easton and the coach cheering on the team

I think she's having fun...

Halftime cheer!

Bringing the ball down the court

Oh bother.

I'm open!

There should be a picture here of Easton and Camille looking sweet together after the game. Sorry - Mommy fail. They each got their snack and I couldn't get them corraled together.

Actually your shots are in focus.
What you are dealing with is "motion blur."
Since you are shooting indoors your shutter has to stay open long enough to expose the shot. If someone moves while the shutter is open it blurs.
Solution: Shoot in Shutter priority mode with a setting of 1/60th of a second. Increase your ISO to 800. Get closer to the subject and increase your flash to +3.
As for "red eye" just fix that in your photo editing program.
Finally.... "Way to Go Camille and Easton."
