How $20 caused me emotional stress
Every year...EVERY YEAR I walk by the cute Valentine's Day/Easter/4th of July/etc decorations at the store and start to purchase some cute things for the house. I pick them up and place them in the cart. And then I put them back. And pick them back up. And back down. It's crazy. The price tag gets me every time. I know that if I come back the day after then I can get the same exact item for 75% off. So every year I vow to come back the day after and stock up on cute things for the next year. And then I don't.
Yesterday I was in Target (dangerous) and saw sweet little Valentine placemats. I remembered how nice it was during Christmas when we used vinyl Santa placemats that were so easy to wipe and clean up. I picked up 6 placemats and put them in the cart. And I saw the pricetag of 1.99 each. 2X6=12. Eek! If I just wait, then I can get these for 50 cents each in a few weeks! But something happened and they stayed in the cart.
Later I saw a wooden heart to hang on our front door. It was a whopping $5.99. Soon it will be $1.50 but I got it anyway.
I came home, slapped them on the table and the door respectively and haven't stopped grinning since. Why haven't I done this sooner?

You Said; " I pick them up and place them in the cart. And then I put them back. And pick them back up. And back down."
Just like your mother! And you wonder why we men hate to go shopping with you.
