Easter 2011

Today has been a glorious Easter day. The rain in our area has been relentless the past several days and we expected no less on Easter. Originally I wished for sunshine and 70 degrees. When it was apparent that that was impossible, I simply wished for a dry spell so the kids could make use of the deck and eat outside. This morning the forecast was all gloom, doom and water, so I simply prayed that the rain would hold off just a few minutes so folks could get inside our house without getting drenched. I will have you know that it didn't rain a lick the entire afternoon!!

I demand only one rule for this event - everyone must have their picture made in their Easter best. One family got away from me. You know who you are. I'll get you next year...

Barhams
Peimanns
Smiths
Olivers
Kirkpatricks (Joe not pictured - had to work on Easter...we sent him a plate home)
Cerquas Edgars (Maggie not pictured - in Michigan helping her father)
Kihns
Mama Joyce and Hallye
Can we get 34 people inside the kitchen for prayer? YES! We did it!
Another angle...
Food Line
The girls took over this table
And the boys took over this table And the adults stayed inside! More adults... Did the boys care that it has rained a million inches in the past 3 days and the ground is like one big mud sponge? Nope...baseball must be played
The girls opted to watch Tangled downstairs on the comfy couches
And the adults? Well we pretty much just sat. talked. ate. repeat. Except for MO. He cleaned our gutters. Don't ask :-)
