Sunny Days

A few years ago I tried to join the "post every day in November" bandwagon and I think I got most of the days. I've been a little sparse lately, so I figured I should try again this year.

I love middle schoolers. I especially love middle schoolers that play band instruments. I know it's weird. They're all pre-teenagy and awkward and impossible to figure out. But. BUT...they're also adorable and precious. Don't believe me? Watch this. I ran across this video the other day and when I got to the 1:34 mark I think I got a little weepy. See that sweet, awkward little trumpet player? That is the reason that I love my job. Although I'm very grateful for my current job that allows me to be in music and still be a Mom, I really miss teaching middle school. I didn't realize how much until I saw this.
