Almost there

Easter sewing is coming right along. I'm 99% done with the girls' dresses. I had a very specific pattern in mind for them, but then I took them to the fabric store and let them pick out their own fabric. They picked out a really cool hot pink fabric with these little gathers all across. I didn't think anything about it until I got home and realized that the little pleats and tucks in my pattern weren't going to work with this fabric. So I found another pattern and used that. Claire's dress is a simple A-line dress and Camille's is a little bodice with a double skirt. No pleats. No tucks. Hooray! Except Claire saw that Camille's dress had a little ruffle action with the double skirt and was displeased with the lack of flare on her own dress. So now I have to come up with some way to add a bow or something to her dress. Not sure how to work that one out.

Here is my first official label sewn into Claire's dress!
Claire and Camille's dresses...
Here is the "finished" version of my top. It still has a lot that should be corrected, but I'm going to ignore it and hope everyone else does too. (And who is going to be looking that closely to me anyway? Claire is the only one small enough to sit in my lap and she doesn't know any better!)
A little closer (yet blurrier) shot
Now I just have a skirt to make and a tie to buy for Easton. Yay for easy boy outfits!
