Dinner Diaries

Penne Pasta with Bacon and Cream from Southern Living

1 package bacon
1 package fresh mushrooms
garlic
1 box penne pasta
1 cup parmesan cheese
2 cups whipping cream
4 green onions
pepper to taste

Cook bacon in skillet until crisp then set aside and crumble.
Cook pasta until al dente
Reserve enough bacon drippings to saute sliced mushrooms and garlic until tender
Stir in pasta, cheese, whipping cream, and pepper until thickened
Stir in bacon and green onions

Yum. I added some frozen peas so I could pretend this was a healthy meal and they mixed nicely.
